I wanted to create an album that captured the joy and excitement of the holiday season while sharing the timeless message of Christ’s birth, so I produced “The Night That Love Was Born,” not your average Christmas album. As a worship pastor and lover of all things Christmas, I poured my passion into every aspect of it, and it was indeed a labor of love.
One of the things that made this project special was the opportunity to blend traditional and contemporary music in new and exciting ways. As a worship leader, I’m always looking for ways to make the music we sing more relevant and engaging, and this album accomplishes that goal uniquely and powerfully.
Combining traditional Christmas carols with contemporary worship songs, this album has something for everyone. From the foot-stomping energy of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/Our God Is an Awesome God” to the soulful strains of “O Holy Night,” you’ll be singing along to classics like “Joy to the World” and “Angels We Have Heard on High” while discovering new favorites like “What Child Is This” and “The First Noel.”
But this album isn’t just about the music but also the memories. I have many fond memories of Christmas, from decorating the tree with my family to baking cookies and drinking hot cocoa. I wanted to create an album to help others make special memories.
So why not gather your family and friends around the tree, crank up the volume on “The Night That Love Was Born,” and create new holiday traditions? You can dance to the upbeat songs or snuggle up with loved ones to listen to the more intimate ballads. Whatever your style, this album has got you covered.
In the end, “The Night That Love Was Born” celebrates the power of music to inspire us and help us connect with God more deeply. I hope this album brings you as much joy and inspiration as it has for me. Beyond the music, I want to help people connect with the deeper meaning of Christmas. For me, Christmas is not just about the presents and decorations—it’s about the love and hopes Christ brings into the world. Merry Christmas, and may the love of Christ fill your hearts and homes this holiday season.
