Why Why Are We Still Left Here Asking Why
Having Nothing Else Left To Deny
And Still We Never Got To Say Goodbye
Leaving No More Tears For Me To Cry
And You Have Lost The Will To Even Try
Even Try
So I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
Before You Break My Heart Again
I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
As We Embrace The Bitter End
Embrace The Bitter End
Now How Do We Move Forward From Us Now
When You Choose To Blame And Disavow
Closing Off Your Heart To Not Allow
What Is Now
So I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
Before You Break My Heart Again
I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
As We Embrace The Bitter End
When Everything Falls Apart
I’m Left With A Broken Heart
And All That You’ve Ever Said
Can Never Be Washed Away
The Words That I Could’t Share
The Times That You Weren’t There
The Life You’ve Taken From Me
Solo
So I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
Before You Break My Heart Again
I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
As We Embrace The Bitter End
I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
Before You Break My Heart Again
I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go
As We Embrace The Bitter End
(I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go)
Oh La La La Embrace The Bitter End
(I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go)
Oh I’ll Let You Go As We Embrace The Bitter End
(I Will Let You Go I’ll Let You Go)

In The Storm I Lost The Fight
Tossed About The Sea
I Know Your Heart
Can Not Deny
It Wouldn’t Let Me In
And After All I Guess You Knew
It Was Only Make Believe
And Fairy Tales For You
And Still My Heart It Can’t Deny
No Disney Ending Waiting Here For You
I Am All That Waits For You
While You’re Chasing The Sunlight
Angry Words You Can’t Recalled
Something You Deny
Nothing Left To Feel
And I Will Try To Fight
And Forget The Lies You Told
Make Them Disappear
Leave It All Behind
Still You Chose To Walk Away
The Things You Can Not Buy
Are Best To Leave Behind
And Lost Between The You And I
Are Promises The Day We Said I Do
Still I Wait Here For You
Just Chasing The Sunlight
Chasing The Sunlight

There’s Only Silence And Unknown
After All That’s Been Said And Done
Only Your Blindness Have You Sown
And All Your Blame Can Not Make It Better
You Can Tear It All Apart
As You Mock My Broken Heart
When Your Words Come Crashing Down
Don’t Fear What’s Found
Guilt And Defiance You Now Own
And Still You’re Here Where It’s Begun
After Your Tears And Lies Are Shown
They All Remain But You’re No Cleaver
You Can Play The Bitter Heart
As You Watch Mine Fall Apart
When Your Words Come Crashing Down
Don’t Fear What’s Found
When Your Words Go Round And Round
I Hear No Sound
Solo
Words Come Crashing Down
Words Come Crashing Down

There Is Freedom Within
There Is Freedom Without
Try To Catch The Deluge In A Paper Cup
There’s A Battle Ahead
Many Battles Are Lost
But You’ll Never See
The End Of The Road
While You’re Traveling With Me
Hey Now Hey Now
Don’t Dream It’s Over
Hey Now Hey Now
When The World Comes In
They Come They Come
To Build A Wall Between Us
We Know They Won’t Win
Now I’m Towing My Car
There’s A Hole In The Roof
My Possessions Are Causing Me Suspicion
But There’s No Proof
In The Paper Today
Tales Of War And Of Waste
But You Turn Right Over To The Tv Page
Hey Now Hey Now
Don’t Dream It’s Over
Hey Now Hey Now
When The World Comes In
They Come, They Come
To Build A Wall Between Us
We Know They Won’t Win
Solo
Now I’m Walking Again
To The Beat Of A Drum
And I’m Counting The Steps
To The Door Of Your Heart
Only Shadows Ahead
Barely Clearing The Roof
Get To Know The Feeling
Of Liberation And Release
Hey Now Hey Now
Don’t Dream It’s Over
Hey Now Hey Now
When The World Comes In
They Come They Come
To Build A Wall Between Us
We Know That They Won’t Win
Solo
Don’t Let Them Win (Hey Now Hey Now)

You Were My Delight
Shining For The Souls Of The Night
Now Everything Is Faded From The Light
It’s All That I Can Find
I Won’t Deny
Everything That You Have Left Behind
I Loved You With A Love That Was So Blind
Again To See With All My Pride
And I Don’t Know If Your Love’s
Been Taken All Away
And I Don’t Know What Will Be
Except For Our Today
A Love That I Can See
And That Will Not Go Away
Until The World Stops Spinning
You Can Take Your Love Away
But My Heart Will Not Obey
I Will Hold You In My Arms
Until The World Stops Spinning
It’s A Love You Can’t Deny
I Can See It In Your Eyes
We Can Fall For All The Lies
Until The World Stops Spinning
Till The World Stops Spinning
I Can Read You Eyes Like The Mourning
And The Sorrow Of The Night
Like The Fields Of All Your Words
In The Mirrors Of Your Mind
And I Said I Don’t Know
How To Hold The Love That Always
Walks Away
And Though I Am Here
I Could Walk There Tonight
I Could Hold On To Your Love
And Take In All The Light
If We Only Have This Moment
Let Me Hold You One More Time
Until The World Stops Spinning
You Can Tear It All Apart
You Can Even Break My Heart
Still I’ll Never Let You Go
Until The World Stops Spinning
You Can Take Your Love Away
But My Heart Will Not Obey
Let Me Hold You In My Arms
Until The World Stops Spinning
Till The World Stops Spinning
Solo
You Can Tear It All Apart
You Can Even Break My Heart
Still I’ll Never Let You Go
Until The World Stops Spinning
You Can Take Your Love Away
But My Heart Will Not Obey
Let Me Hold You In My Arms
Until The World Stops Spinning
Till The World Stops Spinning
I’m Gonna Hold You In My Arms
Until The World We Know Is Gone
And I’ll Never Let You Go
Until The World Stops Spinning
Gonna Leave It All Behind
Till There’s Nothing Left To Find
Still I’ll Never Let You Go
Until The World Stops Spinning
Gonna Leave It All Behind

Bringing my alter-ego’s second studio album, “Chasing the Sunlight,” to light was challenging. It’s more than just a collection of newer songs; it reflects my journey through loss and healing.
The biting yet upbeat track “Let You Go” opens the album, setting the tone for the rest of the album, which explores the many facets of change, recovery, and learning to move on with unanswered questions remaining. While the song’s message is about looking to the future and leaving behind the pain of the past, the lyrics may be more cynical. Nonetheless, the song’s mood is ironically hopeful. The music of “Let You Go” sets the pace for the rest of the album.
The next song on the album changes the tone to a more reflective and contemplative one with the title track, “Chasing The Sunlight.” This slow rock ballad reflects the bittersweet nature of moving on from loss and the wounds left behind by the storm. The song’s aggressive lyrics are introspective, exploring the many layers of emotions that come with having to say goodbye.
In “Crashing Down,” I explore the reality of disappointment that can accompany heartbreak. The song’s lyrics express the raw and honest emotions of pain, anguish, and confusion experienced during difficult times. However, even in these dark moments of the music, the soaring melodies and uplifting instrumentation provide glimpses of hope and optimistic resilience.
In addition to my four original tracks, “Chasing the Sunlight” also features a cover of the classic Crowded House song “Don’t Dream It’s Over” by Neil Finn. The song has always held a special place in my heart, and I wanted to pay tribute to its timeless beauty with my rendition.
In my version of the song, I stripped it down to its essence, focusing on the emotional core of the lyrics and melody and adding orchestrations that help move the song musically. The rest of the song is a haunting and reflective rendition that captures the poignancy and longing of the original version while adding my unique perspective.
As an artist, I always seek new ways to express myself and connect with my audience. Covering “Don’t Dream It’s Over” was a way for me to pay homage to a classic song that inspired me for years while showcasing my style and artistry. It’s a testament to the power of music to transcend time and place, and I’m proud to have put my stamp on such a beloved song.
The final track, “Until The World Stops Spinning,” brings the album full circle with closure and acceptance. The lyrics reflect on the journey and the lessons learned along the way. The gentle melody and soft instrumentation evoke a sense of peace and calm as if the sun is setting on a day filled with pain and beauty.
Overall, “Chasing the Sunlight” is a deeply personal and emotional album that captures the complexity of heartbreak and healing. It’s a testament to the power of music to help us through difficult times, and I’m grateful to have been able to share my journey with my fans through this album.
